DEVELOPMENT PERMIT AND TREE CUTTING PERMIT APPLICATIONS APPROVED FOR 4620 DOGWOOD DRIVE
At a Special Meeting on January 22, 2018, City Council approved a Type II Development Permit, Hardship Relief, and Conditional Use Permit to modify the previously submitted Type III Development Permit and Conditional Use Permit to construct a single-family dwelling in the floodplain at 4620 Dogwood Drive. Council also approved a Tree Cutting Permit to remove 5 trees, overturning the Planning Commission’s November 6, 2017 decision to deny a Tree Cutting Permit for 13 trees.
AMENDMENTS TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN CONTINUED TO SEPTEMBER 2018, PUBLIC RECORD RE-OPENED
At the February 12, 2018 City Council Meeting, Councilors moved to continue until September 17, 2018 the consideration of proposed legislative amendments to the Rivergrove Comprehensive Plan Introduction, Goal #10 Housing and Goal #12 Transportation. (Local file number 2016-05.). The Amendments stipulate changes to the annexation policy and a text correction in the Transportation goal. The public record, previously closed on January 29, 2018, was reopened and will remain open until the September 17, 2018 City Council meeting. The proposed amendments (Local file number 2016-05) can be downloaded from the Rivergrove website here. REVISION OF GOALS FOR YEAR
City Council postponed a discussion of 2018 Goals due to absent members. Council will review their 2017 goals and create a revised goal list for 2018 at the March meeting. Last year’s goals may be viewed here. Please submit any suggestions for goals you’d like to see added for 2018.
Decisions
- City Council approved a Development Permit, Hardship Relief for the front setback, and Conditional Use Permit to construct a single-family dwelling in the floodplain at 4620 Dogwood Drive. Council also approved a Tree Cutting application for 5 trees in the floodplain.
- The Planning Commission approved a Tree Cutting Permit and required one mitigation tree for a willow in the floodplain at 5710 Childs Road.
- The City issued a Tree Cutting Permit for two pines at 6048 Childs Road.
