PLANNING COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL TOPICS

amendments to the comprehensive plan continued to february, public record remains open

At the December 11, 2017 City Council Meeting, Councilors moved to continue until February 12, 2018 the consideration of proposed legislative amendments to the Rivergrove Comprehensive Plan Introduction, Goal #10 Housing and Goal #12 Transportation. (Local file number 2016-05.). The Amendments stipulate changes to the annexation policy and a text correction in the Transportation goal. The public record will remain open until January 29, 2018. The proposed amendments (Local file numbers 2016-05 and 2017-01) can be downloaded here. Copies of the amendments and the city staff report can also be obtained for a nominal fee by contacting the office staff at 503.639.6919, emailing info@cityofrivergrove.com or writing to City of Rivergrove, P.O. Box 1104, Lake Oswego, OR 97035. A copy can be viewed by appointment only at Rivergrove City Hall, 4924 Childs Road, Lake Oswego, OR 97035. Contact city staff to make an appointment. hearing on appeal continued to special city council meeting

At the Monday, January 8, 2018 City Council Meeting, Councilors continued a hearing on appeal of denial of a tree removal permit in the floodplain at 4620 Dogwood Drive. The hearing will resume at a special City Council meeting on January 22, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the River Grove Elementary School Library. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the appeal of the Planning Commission decision to deny a tree removal permit application for 13 trees in the floodplain at 4620 Dogwood Drive and to consider a Type II Development Permit approval to modify the previously submitted Type III Development Permit and Conditional Use Permit to construct a single-family dwelling partially in the 100-Year Floodplain, including certain revisions regarding tree preservation/removal and Type II Hardship Relief approval as necessary. At the February 5th meeting, the Planning Commission will elect a Chair and Vice-chair from among the Commissioners.

revision of goals for year

Also in February, City Council will review their 2017 goals and create a revised goal list for 2018. Last year’s goals may be viewed here. Please submit any suggestions for goals you’d like to see added for 2018.

  • An emergency tree cutting permit was issued for 4680 Dogwood Drive.
  • The Planning Commission approved a development permit application to raise and renovate a home at 5638 Dogwood Drive.
  • City Council continued the hearing on appeal of a denial of a tree removal permit for 4620 Dogwood Drive to a special City Council meeting on Monday, January 22, 2018.
